We finally see what happens to Tara Imade.
.........'So, Doctor, you mean I'm not just dying soon, I'm dying sooner than expected?', I asked rather too calm. 'Ms Tara, I'm afraid yes', he said pitifully.
'Thank you Doctor, thank you', I said as I stood up gently walking towards the door.
August 25, 2009. I woke up with so much pain as I wriggled myself out of bed, standing in front of the mirror weeping profusely.
Tara Imade, three months from today would've been your convocation, where you'd add another laurel to your amazing arsenal of academic excellence but here you are, dying, draining, hopeless as you watch your life go before your very eyes yet you're totally helpless. I wept harder and harder till I couldn't anymore. Few years ago, you had the dream of becoming a renowned Engineer and just as your dreams are gradually becoming a reality, your expectations and dreams got short. You've done nothing to warrant this, I guess it's life. I looked at myself in the mirror, not hoping, not praying, not wishing. Just looking.
'Hello Dr Lawrence, yeah. The pain is more. I could feel and see my life departing from me. Don't bother, I'm not coming over. Whether God is God or He isn't, let me die!', I said in tears to Dr. Lawrence who has been trying to convince me to come over at the hospital for the last two weeks.
I wish I could live a little longer, I saw the true essence of breath and life flash before my eyes.
It's painful that while I can given anything to live more, so many still end their life. At this point, I could do anything to remain alive but no, there's nothing I can do. Here I am, helpless and hopeless.
That night, as I laid, I said a little prayer, 'Dear God, receive me in your bosom I beg' as I closed my last, maybe, July 11, 2021, here I am telling my story, not from the other side of the world but from the side where Miracles still happens!
As you can see, I am not dead....
